MacIDOL forums temporarily disabled

Somebody’s gotten in and is using it for “bad things”.  I’ll be investigating.

Things are looking good with MacIDOL

There may still be a few glitches as I monitor for a while, but at the moment things seem to be working well. Now it’s time for all good MacIDOLs to start banging on the system and reporting issues in the forum.

Still testing MacIDOL — use at your own risk

Verizon has not completely updated its DNS for macidol.com. It has the new server for macidol.com, but not www.macidol.com.  This means certain parts of the site are broken for me at the moment, so I can’t give it a thorough shakedown.

If you use the site at the moment, just keep in mind that things may be broken that I don’t know about yet.  Patience!

Getting there with MacIDOL

MacIDOL is over on the new server and serving.  There are some presentation issues to work out, and I’m running into some issues with cached sessions in the forum trying to get back to the old site.

Use at your own risk right now. I might still have to scrap and move again.

MacIDOL in maintenance mode again

Ok, I’ve put MacIDOL in maintenance mode for what I hope will be the last time for the final transfer.

MacIDOL transfer attempt #3 starting

I’m back to the MacIDOL transfer.  The site is still up for now, but I’ll probably be taking it offline in a little while.

Backing out for now

I’ve backed out the migration for now until I can figure out what’s up. So the site is back up on the old server, and nothing lost but some downtime.

Trouble…still at it

DNS has moved for some folks (but not me at home), but I’m getting the default hosting page instead of the real page.  I’m still working this one, but I’m stuck doing something else for the next few hours.

Everything is moved, waiting for DNS

Everything should be moved and ready, and I’m just waiting for DNS to change over. Once I see the address change, I’ll bring the site back online and check everything out.

Moving MacIDOL again

I’ve got MacIDOL down again for the last time before it (hopefully) comes up on the new server.

I’ve got most of the files and the database moved over.  Within a couple of minutes, I should finish transferring any last minute file changes, and be ready to activate the site on the new server.
