by Chris Cooke on Jun.24, 2010, under Uncategorized
Here’s a case study on how one person (me) is using folders on his iPhone with iOS4.
I used to have about ten pages of apps. I used pages to organize the apps more or less by category and use. I had my most used apps on front, then the most used of each category on a page for that category, then more category pages for the apps I didn’t use as frequently.
With iOS4 and folders, I have it down to two screens.
Automatically Changing Artist Quotas in Jamroom

In MacIDOL’s Jamroom package, I use artist quotas to weed out spammers and drive-by subscribers to artist accounts. A new artist is “provisional” until they upload at least one song. A provisional artist gets deleted after 30 days of inactivity.
Up until now, it’s been a manual process to go in, look at the provisional artists, and convert those with at least a song to regular artists. I changed that today.
